• The review period was to commence at 2200 UTC on 24 August 2016 and close at 2200 UTC on 31 August 2016.
• The voting period was to start immediately thereafter and close at 2200 UTC on 7 September 2016.

Requirement changes described in the motion

• A new Section 7.1.4.2.2(c) would allow subject:givenName and subject:surname, with the subject fields containing a natural person’s name as verified under Section 3.2.3.
• Certificates containing subject:givenName or subject:surname would need the Certificate Policy OID 2.23.140.1.2.3.
• The motion revised rules for subject:streetAddress, subject:localityName, subject:stateOrProvinceName, subject:postalCode, subject:countryName, and subject:organizationalUnitName when givenName or surname are present.
• The motion also stated that if a certificate asserts policy identifier 2.23.140.1.2.1, it must not include organizationName, givenName, surname, streetAddress, localityName, stateOrProvinceName, or postalCode in the Subject field.
