Ballot overview

What changed

  • a lawyer or equivalent licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction, or
  • a notary that is a member of the International Union of Latin Notaries and is a Latin Notary currently commissioned or licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction, with that jurisdiction recognizing the role of the Latin Notary.
• The ballot text says this change allows a broader set of Latin Notaries to provide the legal opinion required by the EV Guidelines.

• Voting by browsers: 2 yes, 0 no, 0 abstain.
• Quorum was met.
• The two-thirds CA vote requirement and the 50%-plus-one browser vote requirement were met.
• At least one CA member and one browser member voted in favor.
