Ballot 195 – CAA Fixup

Ballot overview

• Ballot 195, CAA Fixup, was a Final Maintenance Guideline ballot in the Server Certificate Working Group.
• Its purpose was to correct wording issues in the CAA-related text added by Ballot 187.

Changes made

• Added a carriage return after any other time.
• Revised the CAA processing requirement so CAs must process the issue, issuewild, and iodef property tags as specified in RFC 6844, while not being required to act on the contents of the iodef property tag.
• Revised the critical-flag requirement so CAs must respect the critical flag and not issue a certificate if they encounter an unrecognized property with that flag set.
