The issue was first brought to their attention on July 19, 2019, by Corey Bonnell via the Problem Reporting Mechanism. D-TRUST promptly shut down the affected application processing system and began investigating the error. They communicated with customers and initiated the replacement and revocation of the affected certificates. By August 30, 2019, all affected certificates had been revoked, and D-TRUST committed to discontinuing their retail business to prevent future compliance issues.
