SECOM Trust.net CA certificate request
This case concerns a request to include SECOM Trust.net’s Security Communication Root CA1 certificate in Mozilla/NSS. The initiator noted that SECOM Trust.net operates two CA roots: one (SECOM Trust.net Root1 CA) appeared to be an existing Valicert policy validation authority already included in Mozilla, while the second (Security Communication Root CA1) was a new root CA. The initiator approved inclusion of the Security Communication RootCA1 certificate and provided the certificate URL. A separate bug (261379) was filed to get the certificate added to NSS. A later comment stated that Nelson had added the root CA cert to NSS, and the bug was then marked fixed. The initiator also reported that the certificates were present in Firefox 1.0.2 and Thunderbird 1.0.2 and removed the dependency on bug 261379.
