DigiCert 2048 Root and ECC Root Inclusion Request
DigiCert requested inclusion of two new roots—a SHA256 RSA root and an ECC root—into the NSS store. The request noted that the SHA-1 version of the Global Root CA was already included (referencing bug #364568), and described the ECC root as equivalent to DigiCert’s High Assurance EV Root CA. The roots were described as being used to issue intermediate and end-entity SSL, email, and code signing certificates, including EV certificates, and the bug included certificate details and links to DigiCert’s CP and CPS. The CA Program staff asked for download URLs for both roots and requested updates during an information-gathering and verification phase, including an initial information gathering document attachment. The bug was later marked as a duplicate of bug 908827. The current resolution is DUPLICATE.
